This is a friendly, homely and welcoming place to stay. The hosts were friendly and helpful despite being busy looking after a full house. The breakfasts are excellent, the beds comfy, the rooms are clean and well appointed and the en-suite bathroom the same. The only criticism would be that the nextdoor room's shower pump can be heard, but that's only because we were already awake. We would certainly stay here again, though there's not much in the village itself, the area is beautiful and so much to see and do in easy reach, not least the Tomintoul distillery - one of so many to tour if that's your thing. - Pete T
Really great B&B in a perfect location in the village. The hosts were very friendly and helpful too.- N
We absolutely loved staying at the Argyle house! Our room was recently renovated. We stayed in the pheasant room and it was super cute. We were given fresh milk for our room and also provided with an amazing breakfast - we were able to choose from many options that they cooked up for us and it was delicious! Probably our best breakfast we had in our two week trip. Our host was what made it the best though - she was so friendly and welcoming, really getting to know the guests (if you'd like, otherwise she'll let you be). If we are in Tomintoul again we will definitely be staying here. Also conveniently close to many distilleries in the speyside area. Thank you for a great stay! - Bri Slegh
